Portraiture Using Profile

Artists working in representational portraiture use all points of view to display their subjects.

The examples of representational portraiture in this slideshow show their subjects in profile.

A profile view is one where the subject is turned 90 degrees to the left or the right of the viewer.

A profile is sometimes referred to as a side view.
