Plaster Hands

The Ancient Greeks and Romans were able to create the human form in exquisite detail with soft and malleable lifelike gestures and textures. We will focus on hands in these ancient masterpieces and note their gesture and meaning. In the classroom, create a cast of your own hand in a thoughtful gesture using an alginate mold and plaster.
