Once part of an elaborately decorated horse harness, this plaque carries a raised relief figure of a striding ruler with his hand raised to smite an enemy. It is one of 15 from the same tomb.

Provenance

From Meroe (Beg. N), pyramid 16 (tomb of Aryesbokhe). 1921: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
