Peripatos: Encountering Daily Life in Ancient Greece

This gallery explores daily life in Ancient Greece. By examining a variety of objects, students will encounter the cultural, social, and economic world of 4th century B.C. Athens.

This gallery may be used in conjunction with the Acropolis Museum's booklet "Let's Go to the Acropolis Peripatos." Students can follow the fictional story of Menon, an Athenian boy, as he walks the course of Peripatos across the Acropolis in search of the sanctuary of the god Asklepios.
