This is a shield-shaped, finely-grained palette with bored suspension hole and notches to either side of it. It is composed of medium-gray stone and a depression is in the center of each flat surface. It is worn on both sides.

Provenance

From Dakka (ASN102/163/1). 1910. Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government.
