MFA for Educators

Engage your students with the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, to illustrate themes and concepts in any discipline.

Building a landscape out of paint? Can it be done? Yes. We will explore the MFA collection of landscape paintings from impressionism to classical styles. As we wander through the landscapes, artists will begin to learn and discuss the technique and styles used to create these masterpieces. Artist will have the opportunity to explore painters tools and learn how to use them for different effects such as texture, motion or the blending and mixing of colors. By the end of our studio time, artist will have created a landscape in the style of their choosing.
