Ovoid jar

Ovoid jar with rolled rim, short neck, and pointed base: complete. The body of the jar was made by hand, perhaps through coiling. The rim and neck were made on a slow wheel or similar turning device. The exterior of the body bears vertical smoothing marks. Reisner type A-IIb.

From Giza, G 2150 A, debris of chamber. 1933: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
