1970, comissioned by the US Steel Corporation (remained in posession of the artist, Mary Ann Scherr, Raleigh, NC); mid 1990s, purchased from Scherr by Mobilia Gallery, Cambridge, MA; 2001, sold by Mobilia Gallery to anonymous client; 2002, returned by anonymous client to Mobilia Gallery for credit; gift of Mobilia Gallery to the MFA.
