Conical body of ivory (elephant tusk), carved with head and torso of man with folded arms, wearing turban and necklaces. Further carved with patterns of rings, diagonals, and crisscrosses. Lozenge-shaped embouchure hole. Small hole near edge of bell.

About 1980, sold by Lillian Caplin, Center for Musical Antiquities, New York, to Douglas Deihl, Northampton, Massachusetts; 1984, sold by Deihl to the MFA. (Accession Date: June 13, 1984)
