Before 1920, apparently used in the "Edison Record Orchestra" by Julius Spindler, flautist for the Sousa Band. About 1920, Richard W. Reeves; 1945, sold by Reeves to Dale Higbee, Salisbury, North Carolina; 1986, gift of Higbee to the MFA. (Accession Date: December 17, 1986)
