1794, sold by source unidentified, Bordeaux, France, to Captain Bryant P. Tilden (d. 1859), through his music teacher, D'Anglebert. By 1938, acquired by Mrs. Henry B. Chapin, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts; 1938, gift of Chapin to the MFA. (Accession Date: December 8, 1938)
