This small jar, fashioned of an orangish-red clay fabric, has a globular body with a rounded base, a short, slightly concave neck, and straight rim. The rim is chipped.

Provenance

From Nubia (Sudan) el-Kurru, pyramid 5 (Queen Qalhata), sandy fill on stairs. 1919: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: September 8, 2006)
