The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere

The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere

This lesson will provide a look at the events of April 18, 1775.  Much attention has been drawn to the efforts of Paul Revere and his role in the warning of colonists living between Boston and Lexington/Concord, Massachusetts.  Through the use of a variety of artwork from the MFA collection, primary sources and secondary resources, students will observe and discuss artists' point of view, use of artistic license, etc.  From this vantage point,  students will discuss and determine the true story of the events of April 18, 1775.
