Large tall slender jar with handles

This tall slender jar has an elongated bag-shape. The rim is complex with a collar-like ridge element. Two loop handles are attached to the upper body on opposite sides. The jar's rounded base is broken off, but some portions are present in the form of 5 fragments.

Provenance

From Nuri, Pyramid 26 (tomb of Queen Amanitakaye). Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan. (Accession Date: August 8, 2006)
