Large black-topped redware beaker

This is a large, black-topped redware beaker with rounded base. The walls are high and extremely thin; red paint applied in streaks, some ripple-burnish marks near rounded base.

Provenance

From Mediq (ASN 79/13/1). 1908. Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government. (Accession Date: July 5, 2006)
