John Breen "storytelling"

Why go to an art museum for telling stories? Does every work of art convey a story? Perhaps it is that the artist wants you to see, react and relate to their work.

The kindergarten students, when going through the galleries ,will be exposed to ways to connect their own stories to several paintings, learning how they can express themselves through their own art.

How do Monet's paintings relate his connection with nature? What would you hear, smell and feel if you walked in Monet's Garden?

In "Fog Warning",what is the story of man's struggle with nature?

In " The Running before the Storm", what story would you tell if you were on the farm that day?

How do you see the "Daughters of Edward Boit"? Would you like to be friends with them?

Let's explore what the artist is trying to tell us about himself and his work? Most importantly, what do you imagine is happening in this picture?
