Japanese Landscapes

These slides are useful to me when I teach a lesson which introduces elementary students to Japanese art and landscapes. After looking at some examples of the black and white and sparsely colored landscapes, my students often do a repatitive stencil print with black chalk to create their own landscape that has the feeling of the real thing. Later, we attempt to use the brush to make simple details.
