Large fragment of head of sphinx including the ears and the majority of the nemes headress. Two additional small pieces. The face and crown of the head are missing.

From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, D-500 2 and circular wall B1000. 1916: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
