A Hat for all Occasions: Head-coverings of all Shapes and Sizes!

For this week's tour, we'll take a look at objects featuring different types of hats from throughout the MFA's collection. We'll look into the purpose, construction, history, and style of each one and their broader context within society. What can a hat say about the character of a person? Why are certain styles and functions similar across vastly different cultures and places? How were these objects made and how would they be made today?
