Hanging chair

Start collecting

A hanging chair, composed of a bentwood slat shaped into a teardrop form, with two curved slats placed horizontally to form the back, to which are joined two additional curved slats forming the seat. The chair is suspended by an iron hook and chain at the top of the "teardrop."

Provenance

Purchased from the artist by Lois B. Torf at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Annual Fair on August 7, 1973; gift to MFA September 21, 2005.
