Fragment of a coffin

This fragment of a wooden coffin is decorated with painted vertical bands of white, black, red, and blue-green and sections of two wider columns of black-painted hieroglyphic text. For many coffin fragments from the same tomb, see objects 21.816a-s.

Provenance

From Deir el-Bersha, tomb 10, shaft A (tomb of Djehutynamht). 1915: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. 1921: received by the MFA. (Accession Date: March 30, 2001)
