Fragment of cobra statue's hood

This is a fragment of the hood of the cobra plus 2 chips. This is the front of the hood with seven horizontal ridges. It has a finished side and broken back pillar. It joins 21.11699a-e and f behind the hood. See Documentation for possible Related Objects.

Provenance

From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, Great Temple of Amen, B 501 II-3, but originally from Soleb. 1920: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; 1921: assigned to the MFA by the government of the Sudan.
