The Family Business: Revere Silver

This online gallery will explore the three Paul Reveres that lived between 1702 and 1818 and their silverwork. Each slide introduces a new Paul Revere and shows a silver artifact that he either completed or possibly helped with. The slides also have a short activity that make the viewer compare and contrast different artifacts or think about the mindset of its maker. The document "The Family Business" downloadable from the Related Resource tab supplements this online gallery guide with background information on all three Paul Reveres and the silversmith profession.

Audience: General Interest viewers with a focus on those who enjoy examining the evolution of a family profession or silver work.

-Compare and contrast the style of different silversmiths throughout the time period being discussed by examining different artifacts.
