Cylindrical with ornate figured handle and hinged slightly raised lid with cast finial in form of winged putto. On body, three vertically seamed, formed, and chased sections with relief scenes separated by Corinthian columns..

Marks

Lid is marked on rim with unidentified mark CF in molded border and with indecipherable mark. Body is marked with same stamp CF near top edge and on foot rim. The foot rim is also marked with an unidentified duty mark and with an indecipherable mark. Base is marked with the assy mark for Augburg, last quarter of the 16th century-first quarter of 17th century (possibly 1610-15) and with the maker's mark.
