AMORIALS: engraved on side, the arms of Thompson impaling Wimot. INSCRIPTIONS: engraved on handle, C / I * K, scrathced on underside, "8542".

To right of handle, maker's mark AB in a shaped shield (unrecorded)(repeated twice on top of rim and cover); date letter a (repeated on underside of rim of cover); harp crowned (repeated on underside of rim of cover)
