Sideboard Dish

The circular dish is raised and has a broad rim with an applied gadrooned (or knurled) border that is cast in several sections. There are four vent holes on the underside of the rim. An applied molded wire runs inside the border.

Inscription

ARMORIALS: engraved in center, the Royal Arms and motto as borne by Queen Anne. INSCRIPTIONS: engraved on underside, "Melancholy - Septembr 16/ -1703-"

On underside of rim, date letter P; harp crowned; maker's mark TB (Bennett, p. 176, no. 477)
