Possibly Oscar Bondy (b. 1870 - d. 1944), Vienna and New York [see note 1]. 1961, John Hewett (b. 1919 - d. 1994), London; 1961, sold by Hewett to Adolph Loewi, Los Angeles; 1962, sold by Loewi to the MFA for $1,400. (Accession Date: February 9, 1962) NOTES: [1] According to information provided at the time the sculpture was acquired. Attempts to identify the sculpture in inventories of Bondy's collection have not been successful.
