Two-handled wet drug jar for "Melrosa," a rose-water and honey syrup. Gray clay, blue white tin glaze, blue decoration of St. George and dragon, flowers, three bees, birds, etc. Two handles ending in masks.

About 1650/1660, Barberini family pharmacy, Rome (original commission). By 1915, Theodora Lyman, Boston; 1919, gift of Miss Theodora Lyman to the MFA.
