Henri Rouart (b. 1833 - d. 1912), Paris; December 9-11, 1912, Rouart estate sale, Galerie Manzi-Joyant, Paris, lot 235, sold for 120,000 fr. to Knoedler and Co., Paris and New York. 1917, with Durand-Ruel, New York (?). Until about 1924, Charles Deering (b. 1852 - d. 1927), Chicago; about 1924, by descent to an anonymous donor; 1969, anonymous gift to the MFA. (Accession Date: September 23, 1969)
