Mounted Double Fish Vase

One of a pair with 65.2261. Mounted in ciseled rococo bronze dore, in the manner of Duplessis. Fish-scale and fins slightly embossed, handles forming bunches of bullrushes and leafage.


By 1946, with Rosenberg & Stiebel, New York, NY; April 8, 1946, sold by Rosenberg & Stiebel to Forsyth Wickes, New York and Newport, RI (d. 1964); 1965, bequest of Wickes. (Accession Date: December 24, 1965)
