Marks

Both pieces marked with crowned interlaced Ls flanked by the date letters EE and painter's mark for Jean-Jacques Dieu, all in underglaze blue. Stand is also marked with "41" in underglaze blue and incised "AP".

By 1981, Antique Porcelain Company, New York (stock no. 3970); 1982, sold by the Antique Porcelain Company to the MFA. (Accession Date: April 14, 1982)
