Struck on top of frame and under bases of casters with hallmarks (lion's head erased, Britannia, date letter for 1718-19) and with maker's mark of Charles Adam; flange of larger caster, bottle covers and handle with lion's head erased and maker's mark, smaller caster covers and with maker's mark struck twice.

Provenance

September 4, 1992, sold by an anonymous owner at Christie's, Australia, lot 539, where most probably bought by Alan and Simone Hartman, New York, NY; 2001, gift of Alan and Simone Hartman. (Accession date: February 21, 2001)
