Cross of red Sicilian amber; figure of Christ and two female figures on either side of the base are of opaque German amber, resembling old ivory. Crucifix rests on casket-like base of amber.

Provenance

Late 19th century, acquired in Rome by William Arnold Buffum; 1902, bequest of William Arnold Buffum to the MFA.
