About 1492/1503, Casa Ferri, Acciano, near Nocera Umbra, Italy (original commission); bewteen 1907 and 1923, removed from Casa Ferri and transferred to canvas. 1925, Count Gentile, Foligno, Italy; 1925, sold by Gentile, through Piero Tozzi, to the Brummer Gallery, New York (stock no. P2287); April 5, 1926, sold by Brummer to William Randolph Hearst (b. 1863 - d. 1951), New York; July 28, 1944, sold by Hearst to the Brummer Gallery (stock no. N6026); 1947, sold by Brummer to the MFA for $4000. (Accession Date: March 13, 1947)
