Marble Venus and Amore, nude figure, right leg extended, left knee on draped rock embracing winged infant with festoon of flowers, right hand with offering, on flat round base. Tip of left wing of child missing.

Nicolas Eustache Ambatielos (b. 1885 - d. 1956), London. By 1929, Wildenstein and Co. Inc., New York and Paris; January 9, 1929, sold by Wildenstein to Forsyth Wickes (b. 1876 - d. 1964), New York and Newport, RI; 1965, bequest of Wickes to the MFA. (Accession date: December 24, 1965)
