MARKS: on the underside of the body, maker's mark "hsi" for Hoaching (from Crosby Forbes, 1975, fig164c); a gothic letter h, similar to date letter for 1743/4 SCRATCHES: on the underside of the body, shallowly engraved, inventory "36140".
