Small circular dish

One of a set of four circular dishes. Small and almost flat, they are partially fluted with scalloped edges and a circular, flat applied base. A small bird is engraved in the center.

Inscription

Maker's Mark: none visible, The Firestone bag gives the maker as Elie Pacot. Maison Commune: Lille, about 1691 (Helft, 400). Other: mark of the Lille mint (?) around 1680-1693 : an L with a trefoil (Helft, 400).; Reconnaissance de Lille, around 1680-1693: a fleur-de-lis (Helft, 400); "Poincons de titre, Departements": a cock in a vertical octagon with a 2 (Tardy, p. 168); a helmeted headin a circle, possibly a guarantee mark for the provinces, but doubtful (Tardy , 168).
