Baron Gustave de Rothschild (b. 1829 - d. 1911); by descent to his grandson, Baron Henri de Lambert (b. 1887 - d. 1933) and his wife, Baroness Johanna von Reininghaus de Lambert (b. 1899 - d. 1960), Brussels and New York; March 7, 1941, Baroness Lambert sale, Parke-Bernet, New York, lot 89, set of four sold for $500. 1943, Ars Antiqua, New York; 1943, sold by Ars Antiqua to French and Company, New York (stock no. 42593); 1946, sold by French and Co. to the MFA for $1500 [see note 1]. (Accession Date: February 14, 1946) NOTES: [1] MFA accession numbers 46.53 - 46.56 were acquired together for $1500.
