By 1921, acquired in Paris by Louis Kronberg, New York [see note 1]; 1934, sold by Kronberg to Vose Galleries, Providence, RI and Boston, MA [see note 2]; 1934, sold by Vose to the MFA for $340. (Accession Date: December 6, 1934) NOTES: [1] In a letter to the MFA (December 24, 1939) Kronberg states he acquired the painting from a "small dealer in Paris." [2] A label on the back of the painting reads "Vose no. 9100."
