Rectangular with curved corners, twisted rope effect. Steel mounting wtih small spring device. Marks on edge, and incised L & R.

Inscription

MARKS: .201a: on one side of buckle, maker's mark SC in a rectangle (similar to Grimwade 2495 but dates do not match); date letter I (1804/5). on the other side, maker's mark repeated; lion passant. .201b: on one side, same maker's mark; lion passant. on other side, date letter I. OTHER: stamped on .201a, "R"; stamped on .201b, "L". stamped inside both buckles, "J. COOKE" and "RIR".
