Obverse: Inscribed at edge of each inset medallion: at proper left "V.EMMANUEL" and at proper right "NAPOLEON III". Reverse: Inscribed at edge "GUERRE DE L'INDEPENDENCE ITALIENNE" and in wreath "BATAILEE/LE SOLFERION/GAGNEE/LE 24 JUIN/1859".
