ARMORIALS: engraved on cover, an unidentified crest:(a gloved hand holding a cross flory) INSCRIPTIONS: scratched on underside, "No 39 CG", "No1".

Marks

On underside, maker's mark IF (Grimwade 1306) (repeated inside cover); lion passant (repeated inside cover); leopard's head crowned; date letter h (repeated inside cover); sovereign's head.
