Inscribed on edge "F·BARBEDIENNE, Fondeur Paris". Obverse: Inscribed at edge "LEON·GAMBETTA·2·AVRIL·1838·31·DECEMBRE·1882" and under bust in script "JC. Chaplain". Reverse: Inscribed on monument "R F", at proper left "QVO/JVSSA/POPVLL/-", and in exergue "MDCCCLXXXII".
