Marks

Maker's Mark: a crown, two grains, CS, the dove of the holy ghost (Dennis, 318). Warden's Mark: 1784-1785: a crowned P with 84 (Dennis, 142). Charge Mark: for large work 1783-1789: a crowned A (Dennis, 9). Discharge Mark: for small work 1783-1786: a peasant's head (Dennis, 138). Other: guarantee mark used after 1838 for medium-sized work: a small boar's head (Tardy, 173).
