Reverse: Inscribed at proper right "IHREM SCHÖPFER/UND SCHIRMHERRN/DEM GROSSHERZOG/ERNST LUDWIG/VON HESSEN/UND BEI RHEIN/IN DANKBARKEIT/UND EHRFURGHT/GEWIDMET/JM JAHRE 1901"(Dedicated to their creator and patron Ernst Ludwig Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine in thanks and awe in the year 1901) and at proper left "DIE KUNSTLER/KOLONIE IN/DARMSTADT/PETER BEHRENS/RUDOLF BOSSELT/PAUL BURCK/HANS CHRISTIANSEN/LUDWIG HABICH/PATRIZ HUBER/JOSEPH OLBRICH".
