Plain tapering cylindrical body, molded rim, top and bottom. Covered spout, set in car-cut wooden handle with card-cut overlay. A hinged spreading domed cover which has card-cut surrounding finial and scroll thumbpiece.

Marks

Just below the rim, to the right of the handle, maker's mark ANe (Grimwade 68); Britannia; lion's head erased; date letter illegible. Repeated on the bezel of the lid, maker's mark; lion's head erased.
