Inscription

Warden's Mark: 1771-1772: a crowned H (Dennis, 38). Charge Mark: Illegible butprobably the charge mark for large work 1768-1775: a crowned A (Dennis, 38). Discharge Mark: for small work, 1768-1775: a helmeted head (Dennis, 34). Other: Guarantee mark used after 1838 for medium sized work: a small boar's head (Tardy, p. 173); Countermarkused after 1838: parts of insects (Rosenberg, 5929);Mark for old work, 1781-1792: a lyre (Dennis, 74).
