Obverse: Inscribed at edge "NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR", at proper right "A. BESCHER", and under bust "A. BORREAL". Reverse: Inscribed at edge "VILLE DE PARIS" and "ENSEIGNEMENT DU DESSIN" and at center in edge "19E ARROND./CLASSE D'ADULTES/Melie POISSON/PROFESSEUR/---/PRIX A L'ELEVE/Melle M.MORISSET/1866".


By 1929, Wolf Kostakowsky, Mattapan, MA; 1929, sold by Kostakowsky to the MFA for $518 [see note 1]. (Accession date: January 17, 1929) NOTES: [1] Five hundred numismatics, MFA accession numbers 29.159 through 29.658, were purchased from Mr. Kostakowsky for a total price of $518.
