Marks

Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, EG, a rayed sun (Dennis, 176). Warden's Mark: 1752-1753: a crowned M (Dennis, 266). Charge Mark: 1750-1756: for small work: an ox's head (Dennis, 201). Discharge mark: for large work, 1750-1756: a boar's head (Dennis, 112). Other: Countermark, 1751762: a sprig of laurel (Dennis, 266). The Maker's, Warden's and Charge marks are all found on the interior rim and bottom of the base. The Maker's and Warden's marks are also found in the nozzle, the Discharge and Counter marks are found on the rim of the base.
