One of a pair of candlesticks. The circular base has a molded rim with a band of gadrooning rising to a reed and ribbon knop and a tapering stem with vertical lobes and four applied female masks on the shoulders. Banded nozzle has a gadrooned base and a molded rim.


There is an engraved crest on the base.


Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, AC, a hand (Nocq, p. 277). Warden's Mark: 1702-1703: a crowned I (No illustration). Charge Mark: 1697-1704: an A with a scepter and a hand of justice (Dennis, 276). Discharge Mark: forwork made in more than one piece, 1697-1704: a crowned Lizard (Dennis, 330). Other: Traces of marks on upper stem between the masks. The Maker's, Warden's and Charge marks are on the underside of the base, the Discharge mark is on the rim.
